TTC Abreviations

Many have asked that I write a key on all of the trying to conceive blog abbreviations, so here it is.

• TTC= Trying to conceive
• TWW= Two week wait (the time after ovulation when waiting to test)
• DPO= Day post ovulation
• DPIUI= Day past IUI
• DP5DT or DP3DT= Days Past 3 or 5 Day Transfer (used when doing IVF or FET)
• BFN= Big fat fucking negative
• BFN= Big fat fucking positive
• IUI= Intra-uterine insemination
• ICI= Intra-cervical insemination
• IVF= In-Vitro Fertilization
• FET= Frozen Embryo Transfer
• RE= Reproductive Endocrinologist
• CD= Cycle day
• CP/CT= Cervical position and cervical texture
• CM= Cervical mucus
• CHARTING/TEMPING= The process of taking your temperature once a day before you get up at the same time every morning to gain valuable information about your fertility and overall reproductive health.
• AF= Aunt flow (menstrual cycle)

There are lots more in blog world but those are the only ones I’ve used thus far in my TTC journey. Hope it helps.
