11 Week Bumpdate

I’ve decided to do the generic Bumpdate survey each week and then just add extra stuff to it. It’s getting hard to remember what to update on. Pregnancy brain has started in full force.

How far along?
11 weeks

Total weight gain?
2lbs

Stretch marks?
None yet.

Sleep?
Terrible. Ok well, it could be worse, but still I’m sleeping off and on all night and having bouts of insomnia. Nothing I do or don’t do seems to affect it much. Peeing is a give in and I’m ok with that, the not going back to sleep I’m not ok with. My back and my legs/hips hurt a lot too.

Symptoms/Feelings?
Everything in the damn book people. Nausea, light headedness, fainting, dizziness, body aches, hip pain, back pain, migraines/headaches, exhaustion, breathlessness, stuffy/runny nose, sensitive skin, acne, oily hair, hard nails, constipation…I could go on and on.

Miss anything?
Alcohol and deli meat sandwiches. Pants that have a zipper and button.

Movement?
I don’t think so.

Cravings?
Sour belt candy! Pineapple, milk and noodle soup.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Cooking anything, not eating, eating too much, water on an empty stomach and random smells.

Sexes?
Won’t know for a while yet. Guessing two of the same sex, Kate thinks one of each.

Labor signs?
Dear god no!

Belly button In/Out?
In but shallow already.

Wedding ring Off/On?
On most of the time, off at night and when I’m swollen.

Happy or Moody most of the time?
Both. Happy to be pregnant and married to an amazing woman who is going to make an awesome mom. Moody but keeping my cool as best I can.

Best moment this week:
Finding the babies heartbeats on the home doppler!

Looking forward to:
Our next ultrasound.

  1. Hate to break it to you, but pregnancy brain doesn’t go away after pregnancy! I forget little things now, like what I was going to say, what I wanted from the store or a room, etc. 🙂

  2. I had my first lightheaded/almost fainted episode this morning when I went to get in a shower. Glad to hear that’s normal. I’m sorry you’ve got the whole gamut of symptoms but your body is working overdrive to grow two babies!!!! I’d say that deserves a Super Mom award. 🙂

    • Aw thank you. I’ve found that taking a cooler shower than normal with the window or door opened helps me not feel faint in there. Hope your dizzy spells don’t continue. Just pound the water like it’s your only job!

  3. My first lunch after giving birth was a turkey bacon sandwich…and it’s not like I was a huge fan of turkey bacon sandwiches in the first place, but there’s just something about the deli meat ban that suddenly made them irresistible!
